The Secret History

Programs
Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Premiere Pro

This collection of six graphic props follows the story of Richard Papen, the protagonist of the 1992 novel “The Secret History”, written by Donna Tartt. This story has been interpreted into these physical objects as would be required for a film or television adaptation of the book.

What is a graphic prop? It's right there in the title: any prop you see on screen involving graphics. This could mean posters in the background of a scene, tiles on the floor, a matchbox, a book, a newspaper, or anything that in real life would’ve been created by a designer. On set, it's the role of a graphic designer in the film’s art department to make these props a reality.
